Uwaga, attention, achtung, wnimanje! Pewna miła osóbka (w której stronę posyłam teraz big THNX! :)) podzieliła się z nami wiedzą tajemną na temat planów G! Zespół *nieoficjalnie* poinformował, że premiera nowego albumu nastąpi między 10 a 23 września. Wcześniej, bo gdzieś na początku sierpnia, powinien ukazać się pierwszy singiel promujący ten krążek. Na singiel trafi prawdopodobnie piosenka ‘Over a cup of coffee’, o czym już się kiedyś mówiło… Wtedy też Garbage zjawią się we Francji (ale czemu akurat tam, to nie mam pojęcia) by udzielić jakiegoś wywiadu. Info pochodzi z Queen Helen Garbage Fan Club (prowadzi go niejaka Elfie bodajże… yep, chyba tak, a jej site znajdziecie tutaj) i jest to źródło raczej pewne :).

Było miło, ale czas zmienić nastrój. Garbage wplątali się w kolejny proces :P. Tym razem zostali oskarżeni (Almo Sounds również) przez przedstawicieli zespołu American Breed o to, że ‘I think I’m paranoid’ jest plagiatem piosenki AB pt. ‘Bend Me, Shape Me’ (pochodzącej z roku 1966 lub 1967). Pozew został złożony w sądzie w Kalifornii 11 maja. Oto jego fragment dotyczący ITIP: ‘contains significant elements of both music and lyrics willfully taken from plaintiff’s song, without plaintiff’s authority, license or consent, nor is credit given to the writers and Helios as the publisher of plaintiff’s song thereby confusing the public as to the true creators and owners of the infringing song’. Piosenka ‘Bend Me, Shape Me’ zaistniała kiedyś na liście 100 najlepszych singli wg. Billboardu, a niedawno, bo w roku ‘94, trafiła na składankę ‘Bend Me, Shape Me: The Best of the American Breed’. Na czym polega zrzynka? Ta tekstowa wygląda tak, że w utworze American Breed mamy w refrenie (pełen tekst tutaj):

…a w ITIP jest:

…resztę i tak znacie. Jeśli chodzi o muzykę, to sami ocencie - mp3 tutaj. W każdym razie tekst refrenu i sposób jego śpiewania jest podejrzanie podobny. Garbage często wykorzystywali pomysły innych: ‘Stupid girl’ (’Train in vain’ The Clash - z tym mieli już jakieś problemy…), ‘Push it’ (’Don’t worry baby’ Beach Boys), ‘Special’ (’Talk of the town’ i ‘Brass in pocket’ The Pretenders) i TTIKB (’Cloudbusting’ Kate Bush)… Jest tego trochę, a teraz jeszcze ITIP. CDNOW przy opisie ‘Version 2.0′ wspomina o ‘Bend Me, Shape Me’, ale co by nie powiedzieć i na co zwróciła uwagę Marta - w skład Garbage wchodzi trzech producentów, z samym Vig’iem na czele, więc coś takiego miejsca mieć nie powinno. Uff… wystarczy ;).

Moon przypomina (thnx! :)), że jutro (wtorek, 22.05) na kanale WDR w programie ‘Rockpalast’ (od 23:40 do 1:00) będzie można natknąć się na G ;). Od siebie dodam też, że kilka dni później (niedziela, 27.05) MTV uraczy nas programem ‘Making the Video: Garbage The World Is Not Enough’ (od 23:00 do 23:30).

FUCK! W ten oto kulturalny sposób dzisiaj zacznę :P. Czemu? Pamiętacie Studio Diary z numerkiem 42 (później zostało przemianowane na 43)? Shirley napisała tam dosyć ostro o pannie, która zwie się Christina Aguilera. I co? I wpis ten, datowany na ‘tuesday 17th’… zniknął! Mamy więc ‘monday 16th’, a zaraz potem ‘wednesday18th’ :P. Cenzura zajrzała do pamiętniczka… :(. A było tak:

Oh Christina! There’s also a particularly nauseating scene where we lucky viewers get to witness something really intimate and sacred.We get to see a cheap rehash of a scene pulled straight out of “In Bed With Madonna” where we get to witness tiny Christina backstage before a show surrounded by her wonderfully sincere circle of true, lifelong “friends”. They’re all unselfconciously (?!) immersed in a pre-show ritual which consists of everyone performing on stage that night holding hands together and praying to GOD to help Christina’s voice during the show etc etc.
Oh puleeeeeeeeeease!!!!
For one: Why not struggle to be a nicer person Christina? Perhaps that would bring you closer to god because rumour has it from numerous and decidedly reliable sources that you are an absolute CUNT.
Secondly:I know this may come as a ghastly surprise but I’m pretty sure that the Lord GOD Almighty just might have some rather more pressing matters to attend to than to ensure you and your “friends” have a good show.

Oh I’m quite literally bubbling with energy today.Perhaps I am finally kicking this virus once and for all.Perhaps it’s also something to do with the fact that I can actually see the end in sight with regards to finishing this bloody record of ours. Getting out of the studio will be so liberating.I simpy can’t WAIT to escape the confines of these four walls and get back to playing live again!!

Studio Diary nr 44 już czeka :). Shirl o sobie po lekcji gry na gitarze: ‘I was superfantastic’. Czemu ja nie mogę tak o sobie powiedzieć? ;P. Jest też o nowej piosence - ‘Wonderjam’ i rozmowie Shirl ze Steve’m… Niezłe ;).

Yep :)). ‘BeautifulGarbage’ (bez spacji w oryginale) to tytuł nowego albumu, którego spodziewać możemy się późnym latem. Przyjdzie nam więc jeszcze nieco poczekać. Tytuł IMHO trochę dziwny… Pierwsze skojarzenie - ‘The beautiful people’ Marilyn Manson ;).

Żeby było jeszcze piękniej, Monika przysłała tabulaturkę do ‘’Kick my ass’ w wersji bardzo akustycznej i jedynej prawdziwej’ ;). Znajdziecie ją tutaj. [M: thnx! :)]. To tyle - spadam, bo słońce nieźle opala dzisiaj :).
